Brandon Oldenburg

Brandon Oldenburg is an acclaimed American filmmaker and illustrator, known for his innovative work in animation and storytelling. He co-founded Moonbot Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he won an Academy Award for “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore.” Before Moonbot, he contributed significantly to Reel FX Creative Studios, collaborating with notable clients such as Pixar, Disney, and DreamWorks. His work has been celebrated with numerous awards, including an Emmy for “The Scarecrow” and an Annie nomination for a short based on Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven.” Oldenburg also co-hosts TCM Movie Camp on Turner Classic Movies.


Oldenburg has illustrated book covers for authors Michael Chabon and Elmore Leonard. He has also collaborated with other artists, such as sculptor Brad Oldham.
