Christian Krohg was a Norwegian painter, journalist, and illustrator. He is known for being one of the artists who shifted the culture from romanticism to naturalism, with his realistic depictions of people and everyday life. Many of his works today are housed in Oslo and Denmark.
The Krohg family was artistic. His wife, Oda Krohg, was also an artist and their son, Per Lasson Krohg, was a muralist.
