Friedrich Brentel

Friedrich Brentel was a German painter and printmaker. He specialized in engraving, etching, and miniature paintings. Although he focused on engraving for most of his career, he seems to have transitioned to mostly miniature painting towards the later years. He lived and worked in Strasbourg, where he acheived the status of the city’s best painter.
