James Ward

James Ward was a British landscape painter and engraver who was influenced by the style of Peter Paul Rubens. He painted portraits and mythic scenes, but mostly focused on animals and large-scale landscape scenes. He is considered one of the great animals painters of his time and his technical skill was highly sought after.
