Jasper Francis Cropsey

Jasper Francis Cropsey was an American landscape painter and first-generation member of the Hudson River School. He trained as an architect but worked exclusively in watercolor painting starting in the 1840s. He is a co-founder of the American Society of Painters in Water Colors.
