Jupiter (born Dayonna) is a self-taught multi-medium artist born and raised in Detroit, MI. Her art centralizes on human figures as the main subject. Drawing and painting portraits, characters, and human-like figures are skills that have been developed since the age of 9. This 21-year-old artist uses their art to bring light to the beauty of diversity. The underlying beauty in diversity and difference tends to go unrecognized in the world and is seen in a negative light, so that’s why the intention within Jupiter’s artistic expression is to showcase the allurement of difference by using a variety of colors, differentiate certain features, reference people of different ethnicities and more. To show that all is beautiful and deserves a spotlight. Her journey has quite a ways to go, however, it's a path worth embarking on.
