Konstantin Ivanovich Gorbatov was a post-impressionist painter who was born in Russia and spent time visiting and living in Italy, Berlin, and St. Petersburg. He originally studied to become a civil engineer, then an architect, finally settling on landscape painting. After his death, Gorbatov’s works were given to Leningrad’s Academy of Arts in the 1940s.
