Natalia Goncharova was a Russian avant-garde artist who pushed the envelope with her work. She was a painter, writer, illustrator, and set designer, among other things. She was a leader of the avant-garde movement in Russia and founded Rayonism with fellow artist and partner Mikhail Larionov. She moved to Paris in 1921, but her painting would continue to influence the Russian avant-garde for many years.
