Paul Signac was a French artist who was a part of the Neo-Impressionist movement. He is credited with developing the painting technique Pointilism alongside Georges Seurat. He worked in a variety of mediums and inspired many future artists, including Matisse.
Signac decided to become a painter after visiting an exhibition of Monet's work.
The golden age has not passed; it lies in the future.
