Peeter Baltens was a Northern Renaissance painter, engraver, and draughtsman. He is most well known for his genre, religious, and landscape paintings and often painted Flemish village scenes. Not much is known about Baltens’ life, and his surviving body of work today is very small. There are only 13 paintings and 11 drawings officially attributed to him.
