Théophile Alexandre Steinlen

Théophile Alexandre Steinlen was a painter, printmaker, and poster artist who lived and worked in Paris. He worked in a variety of mediums and his artistic production was varied from landscapes to sculpture. He was friends with poster artist Adolphe Willette, who introduced him to the art scene in Montmartre and many poster commissions.


Steinlen is credited as being one of Pablo Picasso's early influences.
