Veronika Maria Herwegen-Manini was a German artist known for her architectural paintings and vedute, born in Munich as the daughter of the artist Peter Herwegen. Initially a student of Wilhelm von Lindenschmidt the Elder, she specialized in depicting views of Italy, where she spent much of her time. Herwegen-Manini was married to Italian writer Giovanni Manini in 1896, after which she continued to produce notable works, including scenes from Rome, Venice, and Naples, exhibited at Berlin academy exhibitions and the Munich Glass Palace.
Before her marriage to Giovanni Manini, Veronika Maria Herwegen-Manini was already a well-regarded painter of Italian scenes, showcasing her works at prestigious venues such as the Berlin academy exhibitions and the Munich Glass Palace.
